Gérard Marreau
took over the family domain as 4th generation in 1990 after finishing an
oenologic education from Faculté de Dijon.
Today he is the vicepresident for the Vignerons des Côtes du
Ventoux.
The history of the property can be dated back to
the 14th century when the buildings were a stronghold during the war of religion
and known for its pigeonnier, a tower and view point for discovering
enemies in the area.
24 ha. belongs to the domain. Only 50% of
the production are red wines:
Wines Ventoux
50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 20% Syrah
2007: 3 weeks of maceration and ageing in på 1-4-years-old barriques.
Ventoux
Les Hauts de Chanteperdrix
95% Syrah and 5% Grenache. 25 hl/ha.
Aged for 18 months in new demi-muids or new barriques.
Ventoux Les Coutilles
45% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 15% Cinsault.
Syrah l is aged for 12 months in barriques. 15-20 hl./ha.
Ventoux Rosé
50% Grenache and 50% Syrah.
Ventoux Rosé l'Exquise
95% Grenache and 5% Syrah
Ventoux Blanc
Clairette, Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Viognier.
10% of the blend is aged in barriques.
VDP Blanc Les Grès
Viognier, Chardonnay, Marsanne, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc
Fermented and aged for 6 months in barriques.
