Xavier Vignon - Oenologist

In the late 80'ties Xavier Vignon finished his education as an oenologist from the universitety in Montpellier - Diplôme National d’œnologue (DNO).

During the first decennium after his education he worked at different places around the world: Chateau Corbin-Michotte in Saint-Emilion, Chez Wolfberger in Alsace, producers in Napa Valley and Pic Saint-Loup, Moët & Chandon in Eperny, Cloudy Bay in New Zealand and Domaine Chandon in Australia.

So he was quite an experienced oenologist, when he settled down in Rhone in
the late 90'ties and got a job at Avignon Oenologie Conseil. This laboratory was soon after amalgamated with Institut Oenologique de Champagne, at that time owned by Eric Petitjean, who made Xavier Vignon manager of the laboratory and the leading oenologist.

1 December 2008 the laboratory was removed to a new location at Chateau Husson in Courthezon, which at that time had been purchased by Jean Pierre Hugues.
In 2009 Eric Petitjean sold the laboratory to the big firm Lallemand. Eric Petitjean is CEO for the laboratory. Xavier Vignon is still the manager of the laboratory and the leading oenologist.

The work in the laboratory is of course taken care of by people educated to do such work.
Xavier Vignon spend his time analysing the results and giving advise to the clients who want it.
A very great number of wine growers in Rhone and Languedoc use the laboratory for analyses and if wanted get advise from Xavier Vignon or one of the other 6 oenologists who are employed by the firm.

Xavier Vignon - Negociant

In 2002 Xavier Vincent started to buy wine - mostly from his clients - to create "his own wine". This was the beginning of "Xavier Vins". This activity has increased over the years to an extend so that Xavier Vincent in order to have time for his most important job, advising his clients, has formed a partnership with Jean Pierre Hugues, the owner of Chateau Husson and Tristan Depauw, who is the administrative leader of Xavier Vins.
The office of the firm and stock are situated at

Chateau Husson Chemin des Saintes Vierges 84350 Courthezon.
