Remains show that buildings have been situated at the place since 11th century. Written sources tell about sale of wines from the property in 1562. 
In the 1780-ties a new broke down the buildings ecxept for an old tower and built the buildings as you see them today. He reused the stones from the old buildings.
In 2007 Pierre Deltin purchased the place. He's a pharmacist in Marseilles and owns here some laboratories and pharmacies.
Deltin's daughter Aude Deltin is educated as a journalist and has worked  as so by a television company in Paris. When her father bought Chateau Milijay she decided to leave her job as a journalist to be the manager of Chateau Milijay.
The estate covers 130 ha of vineyards situated in Jonquières. Wines are now for a part bottled at the place.
