Alphonse Vautour owned a small domain with 6 ha situated at a place called
Les Briguères. In 1947 he decided to move his cellar to the
village where Piaugier is situated today and called his new cellar
Ténébi - the name of the former owner. Two generations of
winegrowers followed.
In 1985 Jen-Marc took over from his father. He bought more
vineyards, expanded the old cellar and started to bottle the
wines. In 1995 he constructed a cellar for ageing the wines in
barriques.
The domain covers 30 ha of vineyards. 3,5 ha of Gigondas, 12,5 ha
of Cotes du Rhone
Village Sablet and 14 ha of Cotes du Rhone.

28 days maceration. 30% is aged in barriques (10% new) for 18 months.
