The history of the domain goes back to at least 1652, when it was owned by the Chambellan family. This family also owned the property in 1777 when a daughter from the place married Louis Boisson and in this way connected the Boisson family with the property. The Boissons also worked as blacksmiths in the town and from this got the nickname "Caboche" (derives from the old Provencal word for horseshoe nails). This name was consequently chosen for the property (Domaine Père Caboche).

As Emelie's Jean-Pierre Boisson (Mayor 2001-2014)  often was away from home, most of the every days desicions for several years has been in the hands of his daughter Emilie who is now responsible for the domain.
In 2012 Emilie married Vincent Durieu

Domaine du Père Caboche covers 63 hectares of which 17 ha are Chateauneuf du Pape and the rest Cotes du Rhone or IGP Vaucluse.

2018: 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre. 
Aged in steeltank or foudres for 12 months.

Chateauneuf du Pape Elisabeth Chambellan Vieilles Vignes
2018: 95% Grenache, 5% of the other 12 varieties.
From a parcel at La Crau with 80-110-years old vvines 
50 aged in concrete and 50% in foudres for 18 months.

2019: 40% Clairette, 30% Bourboulenc, 15% Grenache Blanc, 15% Roussanne.

2019: 53% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 8% Marcelan, 1% Cinsault, 3% Mourvedre.

2019: 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Carignan. 

IGP Vaucluse Le Petit Caboche
2019: 40% Caladoc, 30% Marsalan, 15% Egiodola, 15% Syrah
