Corinna Kruse was born in Germany and for years she worked at different domains in her home country making white wines. In the late 90'ties she participated in a wine tasting course in Suze la Rousse. Then she decided that her future should be devoted to making wines in southern Rhone. 
Maybe the decision had something to do with the fact that she met Thierry Faravel, who together with his brother Gilles Faravel owns Domaine Boïssière in Gigondas.
She married Thierry Faravel but wanted to make her own wines and therefore in 2000 she bought 7,5 ha. of vineyards situated in the Ventoux appellation. Her first bottled vintage was 2004. Later she bought 1 ha. with old Grenache vines in Lafare. In 2006 additional 3 ha. in the Beaumes de Venise appellation.
The vintages until 2008 have been made in a rented building in Beaumes de Venise, but vintage 2009 will be made in new cellars in Lafare. Here at the one ha. with old Grenache is also built a domicile for her and Thierry.
Vinification and ageing take place in cement tanks. No wood is used.

Ventoux Martinelle
75% Grenache, 20% Syrah and some Cinsault/Carignan.

Beaumes de Venise
Debut 2008

Vin du Pays Blanc
Mainly Viognier and a small part of Clairette. Only about 1500 bottles.

Vin du Table
90% is from old Grenache in Beaumes de Venise and then some Syrah from fields in Ventoux. As a Vin du Table can't have vintage on the label, you will see f.i. "Le 7^éme" which of course means 2007.
