The original buildings at the place from 16th century belonged to the popes. It was bought from them in 1735 by a Mr. Quinqui and belonged to descendants of him until 1989 when the place was purchased by Marie-Hélène and Philippe Avon, relatives of the former owner.
Unfortunately Philippe Avon died by a tragic trafic accident in 2007.

In 2009 the property was purchased by Latitude Wine. A co-operation among three winemakers Didier Cornillon from northern Rhone, Eric Petitjean from Champagne and Jean-Pierre Valade. The owners have also purchased  7,5 ha. in Gigondas and 4 ha. in Beaumes de Venise. They also offer wines from a property in Tunesia, "Korba". 

The vineyards of Croix des Pins have been certified agriculture biologique since 1990, and the vineyards in Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise will be certified from 2012.
