When the young Yves Morard had finished his oenological education he went to Lebanon to make wines in the Bekaa valley and for 16 years,1980-1996, he worked at big wineries (f.i. Chateau Kefraya). He became well estimated and was called down there already again in 1997 and until 2005 he was supervising the establishment of a new big winery.

His father, a small vine grower in Caromb died too young in1980, and his mother were left with 3 hectares with vines. During the years in Lebanon Yves Morard frequently had the opportunity to come home and take care of these vineyards.
The money he earned in Lebanon were used to buy more vineyards around Caromb.
In this way he has collected 15 ha. of good parcels. He works together with his son Cyrille who also has finished oenological education. The vineyards have been certified
"agriculture biologique" since 2004.
Cyrille wants to go further and be biodynamic, and this will probably be the case in the future.
In February 2009 a man from Caromb having bought 9 heacteres there asked Morard, if he would manage these vineyards and prepare them for biological certification. So now father and son have 24 ha. to work with.
