The
Chudzikiewicz family
arrived to Rhone from Poland in the 19th century. A man from the
family married a daughter from Amouriers in Vacqueyras.
Jocelyn Chudzikiewicz who was an educated oenolog took over from his father in 1979
and ran the place until 1997 when he was tragicaly killed in a trafic
accident. Patrick Gras worked in the cellars when Jocelyn Chudzikiewicz was in
charge and today he is still the man who takes care of the details. A
son of Jocelyn Chudzikiewicz, Igor Chudzikiewicz,
is the sparring partner to Patrick Gras.
The name of the domain "Amouriers" is the provencal word for "mûrier"
