The domain was established by the great grandfather of the
owners today. He delivered the grapes to a cooperative but his son started
to make and bottle wine and increased the area of fields just like the
next generation Bernard Chamfort. Today Bernard
Chamfort's two sons Romain and Thibaut have taken over. Romain is taking
care of the vineyards and Thibaut makes the wines.
Today the domain owns 45 ha of vineyards in the appellations Cotes du
Rhone Village Sablet (10 ha.) Rasteau (13,5 ha.), Vacqueyras
(2,5 ha), Côtes du Rhône (15 ha.) and Vin de Pays (4 ha.).
The vineyards for Sablet Blanc are certificeret agriculture
biologique since 2011. All the vineyards will be certifed from fra 2013.
Wines:
Vacqueyras
70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Cinsault. Aged in foudres for 6-8 months
Rasteau
70% Grenache and 30% Syrah.
Rasteau Vin Doux Naturel
100% Grenache.
Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet
60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and 5% Cinsault.
Aged in foudres for 8-10 months.
Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet Blanc
50% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 15% Bourboulenc and 15% Roussanne.
Cotes du Rhone Village Plan de Dieu
80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.
Cotes du Rhone Chamlong
80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.
Cotes du Rhone Rosé
80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.
Vin de Pays de Vaucluse
100% Grenache
Two flats are rented for tourists in Sablet one for 4 persons
and one for 6 persons.
