The Combe family is in possession of a document from 1631 showing how much they had to contribute to the lord of the land, the monastry Dames de Saint-André-des-Ramières in Gigondas in form of corn, lambs, kids, crop from the garden and wines. Since that time the fields have been owned by the family and have been handed down from generation to generation.

Today the Combe family owns vineyards in the appellations Vacqueyras, Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, Plan de Dieu, Cotes du Rhone and Vin du Pays.

Vacqueyras
This wine is made from a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah and aged for 6 months in barriques.

Muscat de Beaumes de Venise
Vins doux Naturel is made from Muscat à Petits Grains.
The fermentation is stoped when half of the sugar in the must is translated into alcohol by adding neutral alcohol (mutage). In this way the sweetness from the sugar in the wine is kept and the percentage of alcohol is about 15%.
