An
ancestor of
Pierre Jauffret started as a winegrower in Rochefort du Gard in 1856. Therefore a
logo with the year is to be seen at the labels for the Cotes du
Rhone wines. The name Terre Forte was chosen when Pierre Jauffret
returned to the domain in 2000 after finishing his education and a
stay in Napa Valley.
The 22 ha belonging
to the domain are certified agriculture biologique
from 2011.
The
next steps toward biodynamique certification are already in
progress.
Wines
Cotes du Rhone Village Signargues
50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Carignan. Aged in barriques for
about 12 months.
Cotes du Rhone
Grenache, Carignan and Syrah.
Cotes du Rhone Coupo Santo
100% Syrah. Aged in barriques.
Cotes du Rhone Rosé
Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
Cotes du Rhone Blanc
Equal shares of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Picpoule and Bourboulenc.
Viognier and Grenache Blanc is aged in barriques.
