The domain has been owned by the family for more than 200 years. Of course there has not been grown vines at the fields for all that time but it has probably been the case for some parcels.
The owner today André Romeo has achieved to make Rasteau and Soumade well known all over the world. He is often called "The king of Rasteau", just meaning that he makes the best wines from the appellation - so far. He is also said to be the Bonneau or the Reynaud (Rayas) of Rasteau.

The son Frédéric Roméro is learning the secrets from his father. From 2002 an oenolog from Bordeaux Stephane Derenoncourt is responsible for the winemaking.

28 ha belong to the domain. The vines are very old on an average.

A few years ago new cellars were built. The domain was so to speak removed to another place and is now situated by the road from Rasteau to Cairanne.
