The Charavin family vhas been and are a widespread family in the area
around Rasteau. The forefathers of Didier Charavin have been wine growers for 4 generations.
In 1985 Didier Charavin
took over the domain until then called Papillon. At that
time the whole production was brought to the neighbour, the cooperative.
Didier Charavin decided to vinify and bottle some of the wine himself, and Domaine
Didier Charavin was created and cellars built. Some of the production is
still delivered to the co-operative.
The domaine covers 50 ha, 44 in Rasteau and 6 ha in Roquemaure.

Rasteau
2016: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre.
Rasteau Cuvée Prestige
2015: 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre.
Aged for 6-9 months in older barriques.
Rasteau Les Parpaïouns
2015: 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10%
Mourvedre. 60-100-years-old vines.
Parpaïouns is the provençal word for Papillon the nickname of
his father.
VDN Rasteau Grenat
2015: 100% Grenache.
VDN Rasteau Rosé
2016: 100% Grenache.
