The name of the domain "the beautiful forrest" has been used for the area of the domain since the Middle ages when a forrest was cut down by Benedictine monks at the abbey in Franquevaux to give place for vines and other crops for the   monastery.

The siblings Fanny and François Boyer run the domain together. Fanny makes the wines and François takes care of the vines. They are th 4^th generation at the domain. The vineyards are certified agriculture biologique since 2012.
