Pierre
Amadieu owns 137 ha of which 127 ha is Gigondas. That is nearly 10% of the whole appellation.
Furthermore the firm owns 13 ha in Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Ventoux and Vin du Pays.
The history starts in 1929, when Grand father Pierre Amadieu purchased 7 ha and
in this way founded the firm.
Today his descendants run the domain, His son Claude is still responsable
for the vineyard and Pierre Amadieu Jr. his grandson - a nephew of Claude is
responsible for the general manegement and the the
winemaking.
Gigondas

80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.
Partly aged in foudres and partly in two-years-old barriques for 12 months.
Gigondas Grand Romane Prestige Vieille Vignes
Selection of old vines of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
Mourvedre: carbonic
maceration. Aged for 18 months in foudres or barriques. One third of the
barriques are new.

Aged for 24 months barrels and casks (Debut 2006)
