Domaine
des Bosquets is owned by the Brechet family, who also owns
Chateau
de Vaudieu.
Domaine des Bosquets was bought in 1962 by the legendary Gabriel Meffre. It's his
grandchildren, the brothers Laurent and Julien Brechet, who run the two
domains today.
Laurent is in charge of Vaudieu and since 2006 Julien makes all decisions
at des Bosquets.
Domaine
des Bosquets covers 26 ha in Gigondas.
Very nice cellars and a nice tasting room have been established resently.
The cellar has capacity for vinification of more wine, and Julien is
looking for good parcels in Gigondas.
Wines
Gigondas La Font Sereine
2009: 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Matured in cement tank.
From vines below 20 years of age.
Gigondas
2009: 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre/Cinsault.
Aged for 12 months; 60% in concrete and 40% in barriques.
Gigondas La Lieu-Dit
2009: 100% Grenache from a parcel by the domain.
Aged in 2-5 år years old barriques. (Debut 2009)
Gigondas Rosé
2009:100% Grenache.
