Jean
and Cécilie Dussere, father and daughter, run the domain together.
Jean is 70-years-old in 2009 but is still participating when
needed. He is educated as an oenolog. It was him who some years
ago reconstructed the cellars to be of more modern standard.
Cécile Duserre is the fifth generation at the domain, which since
1860 when it was founded by a cooper Louis Avon has been inhereted
by women, whose surnames have changed during the years.
Cécilie Dussere is married to Philippe Cartoux, the owner of Domaine
des Espiers. Philippe is responsible for the work in the vineyards also at
Domaine de Montvac.
His
wines are made in seperate cellars at Montvac.
To the property belongs 24 ha in the appellations Vacqueyras
(17 ha.), Gigondas (3 ha.) and Cotes du Rhone (2 ha.)
In 2011 conversion into agriculture biologique has started.

70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre. Aged in barrels for 12 months.
Vacqueyras
Arabesque
70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre. Aged in
cement tank.
Vacqueyras
Vincila
60% Grenache og 40% Syrah.
Grenache is aged in i cement tank and Syrah for 12-24 months in barriques.

Variation
100% Grenache from old vines on a single parcel.
Aged in cement tank.
Vacqueyras
Blanc Melodine
40% Roussanne, 40% Clairette, 10%
Bourboulenc and 10% Viognier.
Fermented and aged in barriques.

The wines are mainly made from declassified
Vacqueyras, but also from 2 ha. Cotes du Rhone.
