Josiane and Jean-Luc Faraud
created the domain in 1995 from vineyards which had belonged to their
parents: 2 ha. of Gigondas, 6 ha. of Vaqcueyras and one ha. of Vin du
Pays / Cotes du Rhone.
The name of the domain is made
from the provençal word restanco,
which are the name for the
walls you build if the vineyards are very sloping.
Until 2006 the grapes were
delivered to the cooperative. In 2007 a new cellar was ready for the
first vintage bottled at the domain.
From 2012
the vineyards are expected to be certified as agriculture biologique.
Gigondas
70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Matured in cement tank.
Vacqueyras
70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre. Matured in cement tank.
Vacqueyras Blanc
80% Grenache Blanc, 15% Viognier and 5% Clairette.
Fermented and aged in new barriques for 6 months.
Vin de Pays de Vaucluse Rosé
100% Carignan - old vines.
