The
domain was founded about 1920 by Frédéric Pierre Auguste Chastan. The 3th
generation, Dany Chastan has run the domain together with his father
Fernand Chastan since 1980. Fernand Started bottling at the domain in
1970. He is in 2009 77 years old, so Dany Chastan makes the decisions
today.
The domain covers 30 ha. 11 in Gigondas,
6 in Vacqueyras og 13 in Seguret
Since 1980 the vineyards have been cultivated organic (Nature &
Progrès) as the first domain in Gigondas. Since 1989 they are certified agriculture
biologique by ECOCERT.
10 ha. of the fields in Gigondas are situated at lieu-dit Clos du
Joncuas.

80% Grenache, 20%
Mourvedre/Syrah/Cinsault.
Aged for 12 months in foudres.
Gigondas Cuvée Esprit de Grenache
From the oldest Grenache vines planted in 1958.
Aged for 12 months in foudres or demi-muids.

Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
Vacqeyras La Font de Papier
80% Grenache and 20% Syrah and other varieties. Aged in cement

65% Grenache, 35% Carignan, Mourvedre and other varieties. Aged tank.
