The domain is situated at an altitude of 400 m on a route going out from D90, South of
Suzette.
In the Middle Ages the place was a fortified stronghold
belonging to lords. It was destroyed in the 18th century and from the ruins
raised a provencal farm.
In 1956 the place was purchased by Etienne de Menthon, who planted vines
in suitable fields. A cellar was established in 1981.
Today the responsibility is in hands of his two daughters Sabine and Isabelle.
The property covers 35 ha. of vines, 26 ha Beaumes de Venise, 5
ha Gigondas, 1 ha Cotes du Rhone, 1 ha Ventoux and 2 ha Vin de Pays.
Wines:
Gigondas
60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. The vines are situated in an altitude of 400-500
metres. Yield 25 hl./ha. The wine is aged in cement tanks for
two years.
