Hèléne Chouvet is 8th generation of vinegrowers.
In 1989 her father, Michel Chouvet, built the cellar and started to
bottle the wine at the domain.
In 1996 Hèléne Chouvet finished her
oenolagical education and went home to work with her father and for
about ten years she has been responsible for the domain.
In 2001 Agathe Lauziere
also with an oenological education has been working together with Hèléne.
Hèléne mainly takes care of the fields and Agathe of the work in the cellars.
The domain covers a total of 42 ha.:
in Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas,
Vacqueyras, Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, Cotes
du Rhone og Vin du Pays.
I AOP Chateauneuf du Pape the domain owns 9 ha.
The vineyards have for several years been managed by organic
principles.
Certification as agricuture biologiqe since vintage 2011.
Wines
Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition
85% Grenache and 15% Syrah.
Partly aged in barriques/demi-muids.
Chateauneuf du Pape David & Goliat
100% Grenache. Aged in (2) demi-muids for about 12
months. Debut 2005.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
70%
Grenache Blanc and 30% Roussanne.
Roussanne fermented and aged for a few months in barriques.
Gigondas Cuvée Combe Sauvage
75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre og 10%
Cinsault, Syrah and Clairette Rose.
From vineyards close to Dentelles de Montmirail (altitude 400m).
25 hl./ha. Aged for 24 months in cement tanks.
Vacqueyras
75%
Grenache and 25% Mourvedre.
100-years-old vines. Aged in cement tanks for 12-18 months.
Muscat de Beaumes de Venise
