Sister and brother Dominique and Baptiste Grangeon are as the third generation in front at the domain today. It was founded by their grand father in 1942. Both the grand father and the father, Alain Grangeon, sold the production in bulk. When Baptiste took over he started to bottle the wines at the domain from vintage 1999. 
The name Cristia comes from a lieu-dit, which is neighbouring lieu-dit Rayas.

Today the total area with wines is 21,5 ha. 13 ha (one ha. with white varieties) Chateauneuf du Pape, 0,5 ha Cotes du Rhone Village, 4 ha. Cotes du Rhone and 4 ha. Vin de Pays/Vin de Table.

Is certified Agriculture Biologique by ECOCERT from the harvest 2008.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
30% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 30% Roussanne and 10% Bourboulenc. 

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Grenache
100% Grenache Blanc from 50-years-old vines. Aged for 8 months in barriques. 

Chateauneuf du Pape
The basic cuvée is made from about 9 ha., with an annual production of 36.000 bottles.
The blend is 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. The average age of the vines is 50 years.
Grenache is matured in cement tanks and Syrah in 2-3 years old barriques.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Vieilles Vignes
Is made from 1 ha sandy soil with 100% Grenache-vines, 70-80 years old.
3.000 bottles are made per year and the yield is 20-25 hl./ha.
The ageing takes place in 2-3 years old barriques.

Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Renaissance
Is made from 1,5 ha. with 60% Grenache (100-years-old), 30% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah.
The yield is about 20-25 hl/ha. and 6.000 bottles are normally made
This cuvée is aged in barriques, 25% are new and the rest 2-3 years old

Negociant wines are also made at the domain, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Carianne, Rasteau and Muscat de Beaumes de Venise

In 2009 the cellars at Domaine de Cristia were extended
To the left below you see the oldest cellar with cement tanks.
Two new rooms for new steel tanks and for barriques were constructed just before harvest 2009.
You find the cellar about 400 m from the office and the reception at Faubourg Saint Georges.
