Before the French revolution a Revoltier was fief at Fargueirol, with the right to bear a sword. After the revolution the family had to move and nearly 200 years passed on before the family was back. In 1974 Joseph Revoltier bought the property including 10 hectares of neglected vineyards.

Since then the area of vineyards has increased into 30 ha in Chateauneuf du Pape and 9,5 ha. in Cotes du Rhone.

Today Joseph´s son Pierre Revoltier is running the domain. He and his son Roman
is according to the website the 6^th and 7^th generation at the place.

Wines

Chateauneuf du Pape
70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre.
Aged in barrels of Russian oak for 18-24 months.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 10% Roussanne and 10% other varieties.
30% aged in new barriques.
