Paul Durieu is
a very engaged political person. He was the mayor
of Camaret-sur-Aigues until 2008.
His
two sons Francois and Vincent have got the responsability for the
domain. Vincent is responsible for the vineyards and wine making. Francois takes are of the commercial subjects.
Vincent has improved the quality of the wines considerably during
resent years.
In 2008 the domaine has inherited 16 ha. of Chateauneuf du Pape from a family member (Jean og
Geniève Avril) and owns
now 37 ha. in this appellation. Furthermore 35
ha. Plan de Dieu (Cuvée Henri Durieu from 4
ha.), 13 ha. Cotes du Rhone, 7 ha. Ventoux (Mormoiron)
and 15 ha. Vin
du Pays.
The office is situated in Camaret-sur-Aigues.
The wines are made in different cellars in Orange and other places. The
Caveau is situated at a central place in Chateauneuf du Pape. In this old
building is old cellars, but they need renovation to be up-to-date for
modern winemaking.

Chateauneuf du Pape
80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre, Cinsault,
Counoise.
60% is de-stemmed. Maceration for 28 days. Aged in betontank for 18 months
Chateauneuf du Pape Réserve Lucile
Avril
85% Grenache (90-years-old), 10% Mourvedre (60-years-old) and 5% Syrah.
Grenache aged in cement tanks for 14 months, Syrah in new barriques.
Named from the mother of Paul Durieu.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
80% Roussanne, 15% Grenache Blanc and 5% Clairette.
Cotes du Rhone Village Plan de Dieu
70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Cinsault and 10% Carignan.

Cuvée Henri Durieu
90% Grenache (60-years-old), 5% Mourvedre and 5% Syrah.
50% aged in 1-2-years-old barriques.

70% Grenache and 30% Syrah.

50% Carignan, 20% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Cinsault.
