The domain was founded by the father of Lucien Michel, Marcel Michel, who did the first bottling at his domain in 1966. Since 1979 Marie José and Lucien Michel have run the property. 
The next generation Claire Michel are making the wines now. She is married to another winegrower Adrien Fabre Domaine la Florane in Visan.

The domain covers 14 ha of Chateauneuf du Pape, one of them with white varieties.

The vinification process is in the best sence of the word traditional. Only one cuvée of red and of white Chateauneuf du Pape is made. 
The family do not have to worry about selling their wines. Many importers around the world want to buy the limited production. 
In spite of the demand the wines are sold for moderate prices.

The vineyards are situated in the area around Cabrieres and Mont Redon.

The cellars of the domain is situated on the route from Chateauneuf du Pape to Courthezon. Lucien and Marcel Michel lives at 9, Avenue Saint Joseph, when Claire and her husband live in a house in Chateauneuf du Pape.

Wines:

Chateauneuf du Pape
75% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Cinsault.
Aged for 6 months in cement tank and then about 12 months in foudres.

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
Equal shares of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Clairette.
