Of the 27 ha. of Chateauneuf du Pape, 2 ha
are with white varieties.
Only one cuvée of red and white Chateauneuf du Pape are made.
Bernard Tranchecoste hopes to keep it that way. Then he feels he is able to
make a good basis cuvée. Chateauneuf du Pape
90% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre and other varieties
Aged for 12-15 months in barriques - used before at Chateau Lynch-Bages.
You see some foudres in the cellar, but they are normally not used any
more.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Roussane.
Roussanne is fermented and aged in barriques.
