The domain was founded by the grandfather of Jean-Marc
Tort
in 1924.
He and later on his son delivered the grapes to the co-operative in
Courthezon.
Jean-Marc Tort thought differently and started to make the wines
himself.
First bottling at the domain was vintage 2006.
Before that new cellars had to be built.
The domain covers 8 ha. of Chateauneuf du Pape situated at
La
Crau,
Croix du Bois, Terre Ferme and Devet. Furthermore
10 ha. of Cotes du Rhone.
Wines:
Chateauneuf du Pape
80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre.
20% aged for 8 months in barriques.
Production 5.000 bottles.
Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Francois - Lauris
60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre.
Aged for 12 months in barriques. Production 2.800 bottles.
The name of the cuvée is the names of two grand parents.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Les Poéses de Marie
50% Grenache Blanc and 50% Clairette. Aged for 6 months in barriques.
