/ Diageo Barton & Guestier is a negociant firm with headquarter at Chateau Magnol near Bordeaux. It's one of the oldest negociant firms in France founded in 1725 by Thomas Barton (1694-1780). In 1802 Daniel Guestier joined the firm. It was controlled by the Barton family until the Seagram Group got control in 1986. In 2001 this firm became a part of the international wine and spirit company Diageo. Barton is producing wines from Bordeaux, Loire, Bourgogne, Beaujolais, Rhone og Languedoc, approximatly 60 different wines.
