The domain was founded in 2008.
"It is a family estate that originated from the inheritance of Jean Avril’s vineyard and also from the desire of his nephews to perpetuate the family's viticultural tradition" (Quote from the domain's FaceBook presentation).
Jean-Jacques Brun is the son of Juliette Avril who was married Brun but called her domain Domaine Juliette Avril, today run by Marie-Louise Brun the sister of Jean-Jacques together with her son Stephan Brun.
Jean-Jacques Brun and his wife Nathalie were not working in the wine business when they inherited the vineyards and therefore "In order to be able to manage the Vineyard, Nathalie went to study at the « Université du Vin » in Suze-la-Rousse and Jean-Jacques, at the Agricultural school in Carpentras-Serres."

The location of the 5 ha of vineyards is at lieu-dit Farguerol. The vines are quite old ,"the grenache vine-plants were planted nearly one hundred years ago by our grandfather Jean Avril." Grenache and Mourvedre are planted mixed in one plot, and Syrah at another plot.
The wines has so far been made in a rented cellar but will some time in the future be made at Rue des Cigales in Chateauneuf du Pape.

Chateauneuf du Pape
2012: 66% Grenache and 34% Syrah.
Grenache is aged in older barrels and Syrah in truncated wooden tank.
