Until 2002 two brothers made their wines at this
property. André Girard
called his wine
Lou Patacaiau and Robert Girard used the name Cuvée du Belvedere. 2002 the son
of Andre, Jacques Girard followed the brothers and he calls his wine Domaine Les Girard du
Boucou.
The property is situated in lieu-dit Le Boucou to the North of Route de Bédarrides
Only 4,5 hectares belong to the property and the production is
limited,
especially when up to 70% is sold to negociants. The vines are 60-70 years old.
The viticulture is organic, approved from ECOCERT from 2005.
Wines:
Chateauneuf du Pape
57%
Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Counoise, 8% Syrah and 5% Cinsault. There are also
very small quantities of all allowed grapes included.
Aged in
barrels for 12 months and then i tank for 6 month.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Clos du
Fergy
Clairette, Roussanne,
Bourboulenc and Picpoul.
