Jean Louis' father Luis Canto came from Spain in 1948 and got work at a
domain in Chateauneuf du Pape. The owners had no children and then he bought the
domain in 1958. Since 1979 Jean Louis Canto has run the property. Since
2002
the third generation
Geoffrey helps his father at the estate and he is responsable for the winemaking.
Since 2010 the vineyards are under conversion into agriculture biologique.

Côtes
du Rhône, 8 ha. of Lirac and
6 ha. of
Vin
de Pays.
The wines from Lirac are made in co-operation with Domaine de
Marcoux - Lorentine.

85% Grenache 10% Syrah
and 5% Mourvédre. No destemming. Aged in tank.
Production about 35.000 bt.
Chateauneuf du Pape Flor du
Ronce
90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. 3 ha with 70-years-old vines. No
destemming. Partly aged in
new barriques. Production about 6.000 bt.
Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Jaquerie
50% Grenache and 50% Syrah. 16 hl/ha. Aged for 18 months in new barriques.
