Sébastien Cuscusa took over 5 ha. of vineyards from his grandfather
Armand Ferulla in March 2009.
Then the domaine was known as "Domaine de la Cabane" but only a very
small part of the production was bottled at the domain.
It was Sébastien's great-great grandfather,
François
Ferulla, who bought the first vineyards in1890.
The vineyards owned be Sébastien are situated at the three Lieux-dits Les Saintes Vierges, Pignan
and Font du Loup.
In 3 years Sébastien expect to have
further 2,5 ha.
Sébastien Cuscusa has made his first vintage in rented cellar
(like other new starters) at Maison Brotte. He fully controls the winemaking
himself - he only rents the necessary equipment.
Chateauneuf du Pape
100% Grenache and a bit of Clairette Rose. 100-years-old vines on sandy soil.
80% aged in cement tank and 20% in demi-muids.
