The property was aquired by the father of Robert Champ in
1942. In 1956 the first vines were planted in the fields. Robert Champ took over
from his father in 1982.
The poperty is placed in the Cotes du Rhone area but in 1993 Champ bought a
parcel in AOC Chateauneuf du Pape (1 hectar) placed in the lieu-dit Gallimardes.
