In 2006 Philippe Kessler
purchased til buildings and 8,5 ha of the vineyards from the former
owner Henri
Boiron.
The former son-in-law of Henri Boirons, Olivier Hillaire got the rest of
the vineyards and is now making Chateauneuf du Pape and Cotes du Rhone
with the name Domaine
Olivier Hillaire.
In 2001 the former Schwiss
business man Kessler had bought Chateau Calissanne, a property of 1000 ha.,
of which 100 ha. are planted with vines - Coteaux
d’Aix-en-Provence.
The director and winemaker at Calissanne, Jean Bonnet, is also
responsible for the management of Domaine des Relagnes, situated on Route de Bedarrides in
the outskirts of Chateauneuf du Pape.
