In the 17. century the domain was in possesion of a mr. Alexandre, who was president at the Parliament of Provence. From him the estate got its name. The wine production at the place does not seem to have been of speciel reputation before Max Aubert acquired the place in 1968.  He was one of the founders of the Université du Vin at Château de Suze-la-Rousse. He was followed by his son Rene Aubert who suddenly died in July 2008. Now his widow Celine Aubert is the manager.

At the domain is produced Chateauneuf du Pape (20 ha.), Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne (31 ha.) and Cotes du Rhone (27 ha.). 
The white wines count for a bigger part of the production than normal in the area.

Wines: 

Chateauneuf du Pape Grands Classiques
70% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre. Av. age of vines 35 years. Ageing: 1/3 in one-years-old barriques, 1/3 in 2-years-old barriques and 1/3 in tank. Production: about 46.000 bt. 

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Grands Classiques
50% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 20% Roussanne and 10% Bourboulenc.
Av. age of vines 10 years. 10% fermented in new barriques. Production about 14.000 bt. 

Chateauneuf du Pape Nonciature
60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. Av. age of vines 60 years. Yield 25 hl/ha. Ageing i 6-12 mdr. in new barriques. Production about 6.000 bt. 

Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Nonciature
40% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 20% Roussanne and 10% Bourboulenc.
Av. age of vines 35 years. Production about 6.000 bt. 

Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne Grands Classiques
60 % Grenache, 30 % Syrah and 10 % Carignan. Av. age of vines 30 years.
Production about 55.000 bt. 

Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne Galifay
From 2 ha. with 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. Av. age of vines 60 years. 25 hl/ha.
Aged for 12 months in barriques. Production about 7.000 bt.

Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne Blanc Galifay
From 4 ha. with 70% Viognier and 30% Grenache Blanc. Av. age of vines 20 years. 25 hl/ha. 10% is aged in barriques. Production about 7.000 bt.
