1834-2006 the firm belonged to the Jaboulet family.
In 2006 it was sold to the Swiss financier Jean-Jacques Frey, who also owns Chateau La Lagune in Bordeaux (purchased in 2000) and is the co-owner (45%) of the champagne house Billecart-Salmon and the cognac house
Léopold Gourmel.

Caroline Frey (the daughter of Jean-Jacques Frey) is educated as an oenologist (DNO) from the university in Bordeaux. 
She has since 2004 been the manager at Chateau La Lagune and lives in Bordeaux, but of course she plays a deciding role in the firm in Tain L'Hermitage.

After the take over of Jaboulet, Frédéric Mairesse was placed as manager of the firm. Before that he had been the manager of Ogier in Chateauneuf du Pape. 
7 males from he Jaboulet family had positions before the take over. oday only one is left in the new firm, Frédéric Jaboulet who is responsible for the sales and export department.

The firm Jaboulet owns about 100 ha. of which 26 ha. are in Hermitage. 

Wines from southern Rhone:

Chateauneuf du Pape Les Cèdres
70% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 10% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre. Aged for one year in foudres.

Chateauneuf du Pap Blanc Les Cèdres
80% Grenache Blanc and 20% Clairette. Aged for 6-9 months in barrels.

Gigondas Pierre Aiguille
80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. Aged for 6 months in barrels.

Vacqueyras Les Cyprès
70% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 15% Cinsault. Aged for 6 months in foudres.
