Jacques Paumel whos ancestors have been winegrowers for several
generations took charge of the domain in 1962.
He started bottling with his own mark in the 1980's.
The next generation is taking over these years, brother and sister Richard
and Florence Paumel.
The area of AOC Chateauneuf du Pape is only 2 ha. North of the
autoroute 7 they have fields of Cotes du Rhone Village and Cotes du Rhone.
Only red wines are made at the domain.
All the wines are aged for about two years in
cementtanks and then in old barrels or foudres for about 6 months before
bottling. No filtration takes place.
