The domain was founded in 1982 by Serge Chastan.
The name comes from the Provencal name for the water rolled stones. The domain has
7,5 ha. of AOC Chateauneuf du
Pape of which 0,5 ha. is with white varieties. Furthermore 10,5 ha. Cotes du Rhone Village
and Cotes du Rhone.
The vineyards are certified agriculture
biologique since 2010.
After finishing his
oenological studies the son Julien has returned to the domain and has
got the responsability for making the wines.
Wines
Chateauneuf du Pape
2006: 53% Grenache, 21% Mourvèdre, 9% Syrah, 8% Vaccarese and 9% of
Cinsault, Counoise, Terret Noir and Muscardin.
Aged in foudres for about 12 months.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
2009: 45% Grenache Blanc 25% Clairette, 22% Bourboulenc and 8% Roussanne.
Cotes du Rhone Village
70% Grenache, 19% Syrah and 11% Mourvedre.
Aged for a few months in foudres.
Cotes du Rhone
80% Grenache, 15% Cinsault and 5% Syrah.
