Until 1993 the property was owned by madame Veuve Arnaux. This year
Philippe du Roy de Blicquy from Paris who had been working in advertising business was looking for a domain somewhere in France and when Domaine Villeneuve was for sale he bought it together with a friend from Paris the notar mr. Wallut. The vineyards (only 8,4 ha.) was very old and and in a state of neglect. The very dynamic Mr. Roy de Blicquy got everything in order in the vineyards and in the cellars. And the wines were well reputated. In 2003 he (66 years old) had some health problems and decided to concentrate his many activities from another location and he then sold his part of Domaine Villeneuve.
The viticulture is biodynamic and the estate is certificated from ECOCERT. Stanislas is very dedicated about this.
