Chateau Mongin is an integrated
part of the school for winemakers and the wines made at the fields of the
school are sold here.
20 ha. belong to the school: 2 ha. of Chateauneuf du
Pape, 11 ha. of Cotes du Rhone Village and the rest Cotes du Rhone or Vin
de Pays.
The
oenologs of the school make the wines as a part of their education of the
students.
During conversion into agriculture biologique since 2009.
Wines:
Chateauneuf du Pape
2009: 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah. Aged in barriques for 12 months.
Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
2009: 100% Clairette. Fermented and aged in barriques for 9 months.
Cotes du Rhone Village
2008: 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache.
Cotes du Rhone Village Cuvée "S"
2009:
90% Syrah and 10% Grenache. Aged for 14 months in barriques.
Cotes du Rhone
2007: 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Carignan. Cotes du
Rhone Blanc
100% Viognier. IGT Rouge
Merlot and Cabernet Saugvignon.
IGT Rosé
2009: 70% Cinsault and 30% Grenache.
IGT Blanc
2009: 40% Clairette, 30% Bourboulenc, 10% Ugni blanc, 5% Roussane, 5%
Viognier and 10% diverse. |
