The founder of the
domain Dirk Vermeersch
has quite an unusual backgrund to become a wine grower.
He was born in Belgium in 1952 and has a past as a business man and
rally driver (1973-86). This face ended with a serious accident. After some years in the
automobil business he decided to change his style of life and become
a vigneron.
In 2000 he purchaced a
200 years old big mansion near Tulette with some vineyards. The
first vintage of his own was then 2001. His
daughter Ann and Sébastien Barbara have since 2005 been
responsible for the wine making.
The couple were both attending the wine school in Orange.
In 2010 a new and modern cellar was built by their own vineyards
in Suze-la-Rousse
Today the domain covers 25 ha of Cotes du Rhone Village or IGP area. In 2006 a parcel of 0,16 ha in Chateauneuf du Pape was bought and from here about 600 bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape are made.
The owned vineyards are certified agriculture biologique.

Orange is the type of wine (The vines are grown in Suze-la-Rousse.)
2015:100% Grenache. Late harvest. Fermented and aged in new barriques sur lie for 6 months.
