Uchaux is not a village but a commune consisting of several small settlements
"hameaux". One of them is Les Farjons named after a family who
fled from Marseilles during Great Plague of Marseille in 1720. André Farjon is
a descendant from this family.
André Farjon owns vineyards in Cairanne (17 ha.) and in Uchaux (33 ha.)
The wines from Cairanne are called Domaine de la Cigalette.
The wines from Uchaux are called Domaine de Dionysos

2009: 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, 5% Carignan
Red Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne La Trilougio
Mourvedre, Grenache and Syrah from selected plots Aged in barrels for 18
months.
From the fields in Uchaux are made
Cotes du Rhone Village Massif d'Uchaux
Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan. 30% aged in barrels
for 6 months.
