Yves Jean Houser purchased the domain in 2007 from Michel Achiary.
Wines from vintage 2005 is with Houser's labels, but is made in cooperation with
the former owner. Yves Jean Houser is educated as agriculture
ingénieur and by buying the domain he has realised his dreams about becoming a
wine grower.
He continues the cooperation with the oenolog Olivier Rostang and
his aim is to make wines in the same style as known from this domain. Achiary
sold a part of the production to the cooperative, but Yves Jean Houser
bottles the whole production.
The domain covers 7 ha. of which 6.3 ha. is AOC Cairanne and the rest is Cotes
du Rhone. The average age of the vines is about 50 years.
In 2010 started conversion into agriculture biologique.
Only red and rosé wines are made:
Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne Vieilles Vignes
45% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, 20% Syrah og 10% Carignan.
Partly aged in barriques for 15-18 months.
Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne Cuvée Garrigue
60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre.
Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne Rosé
50% Grenache, 25 Syrah and 25% Cinsault.
Cotes du Rhone Village
70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Carignan.
