For some years
negociations have taken place between the local syndicate and
INAO in order to agree in rules for a new appellation Carianne.
Many wine growers want to have white wines included but normally
INAO will not do that unless the production of white wine counts
for at least 10% of the production. Even though many good whites
wines are made the production is far from 10% - around 5%.
