Det nuværende navn refererer til en nymfe, og man fortæller følgende legende:

"In a day of great drought which dried up the sources a thirsty shepherd was herding his sheep at Combe de la Pauline facing the village of Cairanne.
He was offered by a nymph, a drink combining elegance, softness and character. He enjoyed this drink with great pleasure
The Nymph Eyverine touched by the enthusiasm of the shepherd gave him the secret of the development of this nectar and the privilege of growing grapes in this place where she was watching.
Thus Domaine Eyverine was born"

Man har i 2011 indledt konvertering til agriculture biologique.
