The name of the domain is from a Mr. d'Hugues, who more than 200 years ago built the mansion.
In 1869 a member of the Pradier family purchased the place. 
In 1988 Sylvaine and Bernard  Pradier took over from Bernard's father and their son Bastien Pradier "is about to take over the familial business".

Father and som are both artists. The labels are made by Bernard and paintings of different kinds can be seen at  the castle (by appointment) or at the gallary and wineshop at Rue Joseph Vernet in Avignon.

The domain covers 15 ha.
