The co-operative was founded in 1937 the year following the creation of the appellation of Tavel. Today it has 85 members delivering grapes for a production of 35.000 hl. from 680 ha. 18.000 hl. of those are Tavel from 400 ha. which are nearly half of the production of AOC Tavel.
