From 1870 until today there have been five generations of wine growers in line from the Roudil family in the area. In the 1930ties Aimé Roudil was a leading person in the work of setting the rules for the appellation of Tavel (obtained 1936) - in cooperation with Baron Le Roy from Chateau Fortia in Chateauneuf du Pape. Today Véronique (born Roudil) and her husband Didier Jouffret are running the domain together with their son Sébastien who is responsible for the wine making.

Beside from the fields in Tavel and Lirac the producer makes wines from 15 ha. of Cotes du Rhone and 30 ha. of Vin du Pays.

The wines from Tavel and Lirac have the name Domaine le Vieux Moulin and wines from Cotes du Rhone and Vin du Pays are named Domaine Vieux Lavoir.
